Pastor James Victor Lubwama Receives Prestigious International Honors, Including Doctorate (Honoris Causa) in Divinity
Kampala, Uganda — In a landmark moment for both the church and the community, Miracle Christian Fellowship Ministries proudly announces that Pastor James Victor Lubwama has been honored with multiple internationally acclaimed recognitions, including the prestigious Doctorate (Honoris Causa) in Divinity. The honors were formally conferred by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan, Founder and Chairman of the Academy of Universal Global Peace (AUGP USA) and the United Nations University for Global Peace (UNUGP USA), during his historic visit to the ministry.
Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan, a globally respected peace ambassador, humanitarian leader, and educator, known for his lifelong work in promoting peace, compassion, ethical leadership, and social transformation, officiated the ceremony as part of his mission to recognize leaders whose impact aligns with international standards of peace-building and community development. Under his leadership, AUGP USA and UNUGP USA have empowered leaders across nations through peace-focused academic programs and global cooperation aligned with United Nations humanitarian frameworks.
Pastor Lubwama received a Doctorate (Honoris Causa) in Divinity from the American University USA for Global Peace, recognizing his exceptional spiritual leadership, dedication to advancing the work of God, and steadfast service across nearly three decades of ministry. Alongside this honor, he was also awarded the Certificate of Excellence as a Peace Educator in association with the United Nations University USA for Global Peace, celebrating his contributions to peace through discipleship, unity, reconciliation, and raising leaders grounded in Christian values. A third honor, the Human Excellence Golden Award 2025, was bestowed in acknowledgment of his humanitarian track record—transforming communities through practical acts of compassion, including building homes for the poor, feeding the hungry through Love & Care outreaches, offering free monthly medical care through the Miracle Clinic and lifesaving blood donation drives, and providing free legal services to ensure justice for those who otherwise have no access.
Pastor Lubwama's journey is itself a story of divine obedience and visionary transformation. Nearly 30 years ago, he left a flourishing ministry in the heart of Kampala city and followed God's call into what was then a remote forest—without electricity, water, or facilities. Through faith, sacrifice, and leadership, that forest has today become a thriving community characterized by world-class amenities, spiritual renewal, and social upliftment. What was once a place marked by witchcraft, shrines, and spiritual hostility now stands as a testimony of peace, restoration, and prosperity—achieved not through confrontation, but through love, patience, and faith.
During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan stated that these recognitions affirm the global value of Pastor Lubwama's ministry and leadership, saying, "These awards reflect the global affirmation of a servant of God whose ministry has transformed lives, delivered hope, and built peace where it once did not exist. Pastor Lubwama's work is a testimony that peace is not only preached but lived."
In his response, Pastor Lubwama thanked God, the congregation, and the international institutions for the honor, reaffirming his lifelong mission of "ministering love in a hurting world."
This historic recognition marks a new chapter not only for Pastor Lubwama but also for Miracle Christian Fellowship Ministries, whose work continues to influence communities spiritually, economically, and socially—standing as a living witness of how compassionate ministry can reshape societies and bring glory to God.
